It is the only global professional communication certification program that meets ISO standards and covers multiple disciplines and competencies within the communication profession.

GCCC certification represents a commitment to the highest standards of strategic communication excellence and adherence to the ethical principles of the communication profession.

For the Communication Management Professional (CMP) certification, candidates must demonstrate:

• Eight years of communication work experience and 40 clock hours of training OR
• Six years of communication work experience, two years of higher education (does not need to be in a communication discipline), and 40 clock hours of training

For the Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) certification, candidates must demonstrate:

• Eleven years of communication work experience and 20 clock hours of training AND
• Provide a letter of recommendation from a mentee/s or an organization for which the candidate has done pro bono work addressing senior level contributions to communications
